Richard F. Kruse is the President of Columbus, Ohio based Gryphon Auction Group, Ltd. While his firm practices in many areas, Mr. Kruse's personal engagements primarily focus on state and federal insolvency matters through subsidiary Gryphon Asset Management; from management or liquidation of single assets through and including entire companies. Since 1996 Mr. Kruse has acted in the capacity of an asset purchaser in multiple local and nationally scoped bankruptcy cases, represented the interests of borrowers and creditors as liquidating agent, wind down advisor, broker, property manager and auctioneer as well as held engagements as court appointed receiver in both liquidating and operating scenarios. He holds real estate and auctioneer licenses in Ohio and other states and designations as an appraiser with focus on commercial equipment.

Melissa M. Kruse, a senior partner and co-founder of Gryphon Auction Group, oversees the day-to-day internal operations of the company and also focuses on marketing and business development. Prior to founding Gryphon, Ms. Kruse was a former White House aide whose background includes international presentation of US policy to domestic and foreign government officials, trade negotiations, international business outreach to US and foreign corporations, as well as media and public relations coordination for various White House departments.
